Born out of a need for change in research
From those pesky 60% unreplicable social research papers, to failed election polls, despite p<0.00001. Or worse, relying on the 3% self-curated active social media users, to sampling people who just happened to sign up to usertesting.com or Cint’s panels.
Convenience sampling has killed research, and $5 Amazon gift cards have become the modern currency for knowledge. We've decided to reclaim it, without 7-digit price tags.
Map The Culture is a loose collective led and owned by Nina Nosal. It’s anywhere between 1.5 and 5 people, all linked by the need to change the research world and desire to find out the impossible.
Led by Nina Nosal - a social research innovator
Nina Nosal has been bringing innovation across research & data science for nearly a decade.
She's best known for her tenure at Polaroid, where she eventually led all Research, Data, and Audience. Later on, Nina advised and joined multiple start-ups, with a focus on data science and leveraging online signals for good.
More recently, she's quit the 9-5 world and started her own company - first as a methodological consultant to research agencies. Her combined experience perfectly positioned her at the intersection of advanced data technology and high-stakes classical customer research.
But one methodology has stood out - Cultural Cartography. And now, alongside a revolving team of friends and consultants, she's developing "Map The Culture".
